Transaction Art Universe: The Graphic Scriptorium (2000–Present)

The Graphic Scriptorium is the drawing archive of the Transaction Art Universe. It brings together works made from 2000 to the present, treating drawing not as representation, but as a form of registration.

A line records a movement. A repetition establishes a pattern. An interruption marks a change. An absence can be registered as precisely as a presence. Across the archive, the trace of the hand becomes evidence that something has occurred.

Each work functions as an entry in a larger ledger. Accumulated over time, these entries form a record of transactions between bodies, objects, memory, social structures and systems of exchange.

Not every transaction resolves into a stable meaning. Some remain incomplete, contradictory or impossible to classify. The Scriptorium preserves both the record and the failure of the record: the point at which an event has been registered, but cannot yet be accounted for.
